Yes! I am sure as with most anything, there are some sites that are not legitimate. However, there are hundreds that are. Another factor to remember in taking surveys is that usually they are looking for a particular demographic. You might not qualify for that particular survey because you do not fit the profile they are looking for. You will not "get rich quick" taking surveys. But you can earn some money and/or prizes. I have personally earned checks thru several companies for surveys taken. I also won $250 from a sweepstakes entry with one survey company. So yes, it is possible to earn money taking surveys.

Yes, absolutely. Doubtful you will even come close to earning a living at it. However, it is very simple money to earn. Only takes a few seconds to confirm reading the email. You only earn a few cents per email, but the companies do offer money incentives for completing some of the offers. You also earn money for referrals. So in the long run it can add up. Again, it is not much, but it is easy money you can make while you are doing other things you would normally do on the computer.

Very good question. I have done years of research and ordered many books/directories myself hoping to find legitimate information. Everytime I was extremely disappointed in what I received. One was a 200 page book that literally have approximately 6 legitimate work from home companies. The rest was a couple hundred pages of useless filler. I once received another which was 32 pages long with a handful of companies and opportunities. The ones that were listed in it only consisted of a handful of business opportunities and some assembling companies. Those are just a couple. There are hundreds out there. The Ultimate Job Directory is the information you need to know about working from home, but also lists nearly 1,000 legitimate companies.
